The Park City Speed Skating Club had 6 members participate in the 2017 Desert Classic Short Track competition at the Utah Olympic Oval this past weekend. Congratulations to all of our skaters for starting the season of right!

US Junior Long Track Championships

                                  Casey Dawson, William Valentine and Lindsey Woodbury 
                                                               participated in the
                                                US Junior Championships Long Track
                                   competition at the Utah Olympic Oval on January 6-8

All 3 skated personal best times in every distance attempted, and participated in the "mass start"

                                      Congratulations to them and their phenomenal results!

Of course, Coach Catherine was there yelling and screaming words of encouragement and advice!

Volunteering at the Jan's Winter Welcome "bag stuffing"

USSpeedskating Long Track Jr Development Camp

Lindsey, William and Casey traveled to Milwaukee over the weekend to participate in the USSpeedskating Long Track Junior Development Camp at the Pettit National Ice Center.

Chris Crevling, 2014 Olympic Silver Medalist, coached our dry-land and ice session on Monday.                              He will be back again next week!

Desert Classic 2016

The Skaters had fun at this years Desert Classic, regardless of the falls, tumbles and spills. The week prior they made new friends from different states and various countries at the 'Oh Yeah' oval skate camp while learning  skills, race strategies and preparing for the new season.
